Winter Green is part of a movement to reconsider how we do things. We encourage local, sustainable four season food sources in western North Carolina.
 
Thanks to you all, our growers, Sherrell and Mike had the opportunity to be inspired by a workshop at GROWING POWER, an urban farm in Milwaukee.

Winter Green grows healthy, dark green, cool weather crops in unheated greenhouses. Why import from so far away when we can grow these foods right here in WNC?



Alice Waters, luminary restauranteur and founder of Edible Education says, 'people have become aware that the way we've been eating is making us sick. Good food should be a right and not a privilege. It needs to be without pesticides... Everybody deserves this food.'
